Energy in Israel
We conduct our energy operations in Israel through our 90%-owned subsidiary, Dor Alon (TASE:DRAL), which is one of the four largest fuel companies in Israel.
Dor Alon supplies motor fuels and other petroleum products through a network of public retail outlets and internal gas stations operating under the “Dor Alon" brand. Integrated in its public retail outlets is a network of c-stores branded “Alonit” and “Super Alonit”. In January 2007, Dor Alon acquired AM PM Ltd., a leading stand-alone convenience store chain in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, with the intention to rapidly expand this non-fuel retail activity.
Dor-Alon markets a variety of fuels and lubricants to industry, agriculture and the institutional sectors, and represents in Israel the Chevron and Aral lubricants. Dor Alon has also partnered with Chevron Corporation in a venture supplying and refueling aircraft at Ben-Gurion Airport.
