Entrepreneur of the Year in the US: Dudi Wiessman

The U.S. Southwest entry in the Entrepreneur of the Year competition to be held in Monte Carlo, is the Israeli businessman Dudi Wiessman.

Dudi Wiessman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Alon Israel Oil Company Ltd., which, through its subsidiaries owns fuel stations and retail chains in Israel and the U.S., was named (on July 4, 2007) U.S. Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year.

Wiessman, resident of Israel, is Joint Chairman of the Board of Dor Alon Energy in Israel, which operates 140 fuel stations and 91 Alonit convenience stores in the stations. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Blue Square, which operates 180 supermarkets under the "Mega," "Mega in Town" and "Shefa Shuk" brands and franchises and supplies 177 retail outlets under "Kfar Hasha’ashuim," "All for a Dollar," "Sheshet" and "Rav-Kat" brands. Overseas he is Executive Chairman of the Board of Alon USA, which operates approximately 308 convenience stores in the U.S. primarily under the 7-Eleven and FINA brand names.
